Kaleidoscope is a stunning outdoor light festival that brings different areas of EXPO 2020 Dubai to life. The 182-day festival uses photography, lighting and visual arts to tell powerful stories in an immersive way. An important part of the festival is an outdoor video mapping.
Installation by Production Resource Group AG
The implementation of the video mapping was assigned to Production Resource Group AG. A total of 18 Panasonic PT-RZ31K laser projectors were installed to project onto a series of facades.
Reliable solution for outdoor projections
During the last years, many activities have been moved outside, so the special Projector Outdoor Housing line is a welcome support for this type of installation. In cooperation with PRG we developed special weather protection systems for these projectors. PRG project manager Gerd Helinski took the initiative for this solution:
“Due to the different climatic conditions such as heat, dust and rain, the devices needed a more stable operating environment and temperature. Therefore, our team worked closely with EXACT solutions to ensure that the design of the system could withstand the six months of changing weather conditions”.
Climate-friendly weather protection for projectors, from EXACT solutions
Optimised for rental and with a low carbon footprint, the outdoor housing provides optimal protection for the projector at all times. Depending on the application, with the the housing can also be installed in portrait mode, if necessary. A specially designed tilt platform allows installations at an angle of +/- 25°.
A universal solution for projectors in S, M and XL
The outdoor housing is compatible with projectors from well-known manufacturers such as Panasonic and Barco.
